Troy parks board approves winter golf rates for Dec. 1–Feb. 28 season

Parks staff presented the winter-season rate structure as an extension of recent rate changes, noting this is the department’s third year operating year-round and that the winter schedule aligns with 2025 regular- and shoulder-season pricing. After a brief discussion about comparability with other local courses and a question about whether small increases would discourage play, commissioners moved and seconded a motion to adopt the proposed rates; the board voted unanimously by voice vote.
Parks staff said the winter schedule will simplify the rate sheet by removing some weekend specials and aligning with existing 2025 pricing. Staff also noted the course is one of the few in the area to remain open year-round, so direct comparisons for winter-season rates are limited.
The motion passed by voice vote ("Aye" recorded) with no roll-call tally recorded in the meeting minutes. The board also acknowledged a receipt of $1,616.10 from the William H. Mayer Successor Trust during the same meeting and thanked the trust for the contribution.
