RSU 06 leaders report steady graduation rates, flag elementary-to-middle transition in math

District administrators presented an academic “year in review” to the RSU 06/MSAD 06 School Board, telling members on the board meeting agenda that graduation rates remain near the state average while some grade-to-grade transitions show lingering weaknesses in math.

The presentation, led by Erin Maguire, the district—s 6—-12 curriculum coordinator and district assessment coordinator, and Krista Pullen, pre-K—-5 curriculum coordinator, was billed as a fall snapshot of the prior school year—s data and used updated national norms for NWEA benchmarking.

The report matters because the district uses the fall review to shape curriculum and intervention priorities for the coming year. Superintendent Gleason told the board the fall timing lets the district present a fuller data set than is possible in late spring.

Administrators said early-grade reading measures show improvement.
