The liaison also relayed an update from the police chief about wildlife intrusions: there were 61 bear intrusions in June, and the liaison reported there were no intrusions in the 10 days prior to the council meeting. The liaison said encounters still occur but that the number of intrusions has “gone down.”
On the library rehabilitation, the liaison reported the project is making steady progress: the roof is on, drywall and bathroom tile work are underway, wiring is being pulled, and photos provided by Vertex show the project “taking shape.” The liaison told commissioners the project was slightly under budget at the time of the liaison’s update.
