The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution declaring Sept. 20, 2025, Keep Pasco Beautiful cleanup day and urged residents to volunteer.

The board adopted Resolution No. 25-322 at the Sept. meeting. Alicia Hacker, a Keep Pasco Beautiful representative, told commissioners the 2024 cleanup — aligned with the International Coastal Cleanup — engaged 1,363 volunteers at 59 locations and removed about 62,000 pounds of trash from county sites. She asked residents to register for the 2025 cleanup via keeppascobeautiful.org/Eventbrite and said the organization partners with county solid-waste and recycling staff to supply equipment and coordinate volunteers.

Commissioners praised the nonprofit and county partners for longstanding support, highlighted volunteer and school participation, and offered to help promote registration. The board’s proclamation encourages citizens to join the cleanup to protect waterways and reduce litter.
