Falls City adopted a resolution authorizing destruction of city records listed in the 2024 exhibits in accordance with the city’s records retention schedule and applicable public-records statutes.
City staff explained the exhibits attached to the resolution list documents recommended for disposition, including utility deposit books, accounts-payable reports and general claims dating from about 2010 through February 2019, and certain police records that staff has recommended for disposition under the schedule.
Councilmembers moved, seconded and approved the resolution with seven yays. Staff said the action follows the city’s record-retention schedule and applicable public-records statutes; the meeting did not include a line-by-line read of every listed document.
