Council signs estoppel certificates tied to financing for Aurora Airport solar farm

The Aurora City Finance Committee on Sept. 25 approved estoppel certificates to support financing for a proposed solar farm at Aurora Municipal Airport.
Patrick Collins, assistant corporation counsel, said the estoppel certificates confirm for lenders that the city is the landlord and that the leases and their terms supporting project financing remain in force. Collins said he would ensure the underlying leases (Exhibit A) are uploaded to the legislative packet for members to review.
Committee members asked whether anything in the leases had changed; Collins responded the leases remain the same. The committee approved the certificates unanimously.
