After a 10-minute executive session on non-elected personnel, the Miami County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Oct. 8 to appoint Brandon Ream as the permanent chief at the Fontana station.

Commissioner Daedeker moved the appointment; Commissioner Scruggs seconded. The measure passed without opposition.

The board thanked Ream for his service and directed staff to complete administrative steps necessary to move him from interim designation to full-time chief.
