Waukegan CUSD 60 to close schools Monday for Labor Day

Waukegan CUSD 60 told families that district schools and offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day.

Nicholas Alaczakis, director of communications for Waukegan Public Schools, said: "And finally, we'd like to remind our families that this Monday, September 1, our district will be closed in observance of Labor Day."

The weekly update included the closure reminder as part of district announcements for the week of Aug. 25. The message did not include information on make-up days, office hours for non-school facilities, or emergency contact procedures; readers were directed to consult the district website for additional details.

The district closed its announcement by inviting the community to check back weekly for more news, stories and events.
