The North Andover School Committee unanimously accepted a $10,000 Safe and Supportive Schools grant Oct. 9 that Superintendent Pam Lathrop said was awarded through the Healey‑Driscoll administration.
Lathrop credited Michelle O’Leary, the district’s director of social-emotional learning, and NAMM staff for preparing the successful application. “A lot of this funding will be used to support the social-emotional work that is happening at North Andover Middle School,” Lathrop said.
Committee member Mr. Brown moved acceptance of the award; Ms. Sams seconded and the chair called the vote, which passed 5–0. The district packet included the congratulatory letter from the governor and lieutenant governor.
