The Municipal Services Committee on Oct. 6 approved new street design parameters for the Comet Ridge preliminary plat, voting 5-0 to allow the proposed collector and local street cross sections, including sections with 10-foot side paths.
Deputy Director Neuberger explained the plan includes a north-south collector, Hay Meadow Avenue, with a central portion featuring a 10-foot side path on the east side and a 5-foot walk on the other side; the cross section for that portion calls for 33 feet of pavement measured back of curb to back of curb. The east-west collector, East Apple Creek Road, would have a 10-foot side path on the south side and a 5-foot walk on the north side…
