The board noted the city’s development services director (Joy Strohmeyer, who began in the role earlier that week) and economic development director (Eric Zino) had been involved or would be able to support staff review. Board members said the matter should be referred to the Airport Development Committee for a technical review that would include engineering evaluation, potential maintenance agreements and any required approvals from Travis County or other jurisdictions.
No sale, price or contract was proposed or approved at the meeting; participants emphasized the need for engineering proof that drainage performance could be maintained and for clear legal agreements that would allocate long‑term maintenance responsibilities if a sale were to be pursued.
