On Oct. 9, 2025, the City of Eagle Design Review Board approved two subdivision-entry monument signs for the Whitehurst Village subdivision, finding the proposed signs match an existing sign used by the same developer and accepting staff conditions that the applicant provide a night-view exhibit.
Kim Siegenthaler of Jensen Belts Associates said the proposed signs will match an existing Whitehurst sign to the north and will include the word "Village" beneath the Whitehurst name. "It will have village underneath," Siegenthaler said, describing the design and materials: dark ridge alpine ledgestone with an ivory cap and a cool-gray matte finish for the lettering element.
Planning staff, represented by Emily Falco, noted the monument sign elevations and a night view exhibit had been deferred to the board for approval. Falco said the applicant's submitted night-view image (presented at the meeting) would satisfy staff condition number 1 if provided to staff after the hearing.
The two signs are proposed on the east and west sides of the subdivision entrance. Board members said the signs appear to match the existing development and moved to approve the application with conditions in the staff report. The motion to approve was seconded and passed by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
Staff will expect the applicant to deliver the night-view exhibit and will confirm the signs conform to the approved elevations before issuing final sign permits.
