The special magistrate found that the property at 4113 Rainforest Road — a double‑wide mobile home with unpermitted modifications — had been brought into compliance regarding junk and trash, but the unfit mobile home itself remained on site and required removal.
Inspector Scott Thorpe and code enforcement staff introduced photographs showing an unpermitted wraparound porch and other exterior additions and reported prior hearings and notices. The property was found in violation earlier and the magistrate had ordered a 10‑day remedy with a $500 initial fine if not corrected. At the hearing, George Barber and Catherine Simpson, who told the magistrate they had closed on the property, said they paid the $500 fine to the title company and had materially cleaned the yard, removing a chicken coop, porch additions and much of the junk.
The magistrate found the property presently in compliance as to trash and junk but extended the deadline for removing the unfit mobile home until Nov. 18 (with a return appearance scheduled Nov. 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.). The magistrate cautioned that banks and mortgage companies sometimes delay removal of mobile homes and urged the new owners to keep code enforcement informed so that the case can be closed earlier if the unit is removed before the next hearing.
