The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 6 approved routine business including the agenda and minutes, claims, two new hires for the sheriff’s office, the sheriff’s monthly fees and the auditor’s quarterly fee report, and a manure-management report filed with the DNR.
The actions clear routine administrative matters so county departments can continue operations: claims were approved, a resolution (No. 16) was adopted to add two sheriff’s office hires with effective dates presented to the board, and routine reports were accepted.
In roll-call-style motions concluded verbally, the board approved the agenda and the Sept. 29 minutes; approved payment of claims as presented; adopted Resolution No. 16 to authorize two new hires for the sheriff’s office (effective dates recorded in the minutes); and approved the sheriff’s monthly and the auditor’s quarterly report of fees (items 4 and 5 on the agenda). Later in the meeting the board approved a manure-management report to be filed with the DNR.
The meeting record shows each motion carried after the presiding supervisor called for those “in favor?” and members answered “Aye,” with no dissent recorded on the audio. The record does not include a roll-call vote or numerical tallies.
The board also noted an upcoming courthouse security meeting and then adjourned.
