"For the sake of time and efficiency, I'd like to move that we send this back to committee so that we can proceed with the work that's already scheduled," said the chair of the Law and Licensing Committee during the discussion.
Ben Rasmussen, director of law and professional practices, told the board the rule is on the committee agenda and that a later draft is scheduled for the committee meeting. The chair summarized that deferring the item would allow the committee to choose among the drafts and continue its planned work.
There was little debate. The board confirmed an online member's participation before taking the voice vote. Member Klein, who had joined online, was recorded as voting yes; the chair announced the motion passed unanimously.
The deferral means the committee will consider R277-113 at its next meeting rather than the full board taking final action at this session. The board did not adopt any substantive changes to R277-113 at this meeting; the item remains under committee consideration.
