The Kokomo City Planning Commission took several procedural and substantive actions during its Aug. 12 meeting.

The commission approved the previous meeting minutes by voice vote. The body voted to forward a favorable recommendation to the Kokomo Common Council on case P19Z25, a rezoning request for 1825 South Place Street from Neighborhood Commercial (NC) to C-2 (see separate article). The commission recorded that case P14Z25 (at 41441 East 400 South) was withdrawn from the agenda at the applicant’s request and may return later with a revised plan.

The commission approved Planning Commission Order No. 202504, a declaratory resolution and economic development plan for the Fairway redevelopment area intended to enable site-specific TIF financing for a multifamily project (see separate article). The commission also approved claims in the amount of $32,985.63 by voice vote and then adjourned the meeting.
