Board approves downtown wayfinding stickers, amphitheater sponsors, sewer fund appropriation and public-art installations

The Board of Public Works and Safety voted on Aug. 18 to approve a series of routine permits, partnerships and one budgetary appropriation affecting downtown events, public art and sewer utility capital spending.

Details and context: Discover Downtown Franklin director Danny Causey said the sidewalk stickers were tested last year and sustained durability testing; the design includes a QR code that links to a downtown map. Parks Department Superintendent Chip Horner asked the board to allow the mayor to sign sponsor MOUs for amphitheater supporters. City staff presented Budgetary Resolution 25-14 for the Bobcat purchase and the board approved the appropriation from the sewer utility fund.
