Student announcers at Fort Thomas Independent delivered the school’s Oct. 10 bulletins, highlighting a varsity football game against Elder High School, an after-school information meeting for the Governor’s Scholars Program, and sign-ups for the 2025 homecoming parade.
“Good afternoon, Bluebirds. I'm Ben with Gabe delivering your October 10 announcements,” said student announcer Ben at the start of the bulletin. The announcements included a reminder that the varsity football team will play Elder High School at 7 p.m. at the pit and urged students to attend and support the team.
The bulletin said there will be an informational meeting for the Governor’s Scholars Program after school in the library and directed interested students to contact staff member Schnitzler for questions. Students were also told that Johnson’s Hullabaloo is scheduled for the next day and that volunteers can sign up through the Lincoln Schoology group for that event.
Additional routine notices included detention assignments with staff member Booth in Room 308, a lunch menu preview listing penne alfredo or a Crispito and a la carte chicken tenders for Monday, and recognition of two student birthdays: Hayden Morgan and Ella Jones. The announcement also reminded the school community that World Mental Health Day is being observed and encouraged students to connect with friends or loved ones.
The bulletin closed by reminding all groups that the 2025 homecoming parade is scheduled for Oct. 22 and that groups wishing to participate should check with their coach or sponsor to sign up.
The announcements were brief and informational; no policy decisions or school-board actions were taken during the recorded bulletin.
