Warren City School Board approves budget moves, capital plan, personnel items and other routine actions

The Warren City School District Board of Education on April 15 approved a package of routine financial, personnel and policy items, including a capital improvement plan and the creation of a capital projects fund under Ohio law.

The board voted, by roll call, to approve March and April board minutes, the March 2025 financial statement and short-term investments, revised appropriation budgets (items a–e), Secure 2 plan operational provisions for 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans, and the capital improvement plan as presented at a special meeting April 2. The board also passed resolutions establishing a capital projects fund (Fund 070) pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §5705.13(c) and authorized transfers from the general fund to that capital projects fund.
