Stanfill said the intersection currently forces merge lanes near the junction and lacks continuous bike lanes through the intersection; the concept calls for curb-ramp extensions (bulb-outs) to create space for signal poles and pedestrian pushbuttons, restriping to connect Class 2 bike lanes east and west of the junction, added pedestrian ramps, and street lights integrated with the signals.
