County declares four properties emergency nuisances to permit abatement under property maintenance code

Commissioners and staff discussed that planning director Charlotte Schafer maintains a working list and map of properties previously identified for demolition; staff said about 150 properties had been demolished during the current commission’s tenure and that the list is updated as new properties are identified.
The motion to declare the properties emergency nuisances and commence abatement procedures carried with no recorded opposition. County staff may proceed with abatement actions and follow the property maintenance code processes.
