TIPPECANOE, Ind. — Three appeals filed by Timothy and Lisa Beamish for parcels on State Road 331 were called at the Marshall County administrative hearing on Aug. 21, 2025; the petitioners did not appear and informed the assessor’s office they would not attend.
Peter Paul, representing the assessor’s office, told the board he reviewed the three parcels and the materials the Beamishes submitted. Two of the appealed parcels are rentals, and the assessor said the rental data submitted by the owners did not change the county’s valuation after review. The county recommended those assessed values remain the same.
The assessor reported that the Beamishes’ primary residence assessment on one parcel had been lowered slightly because of a state ad-rate change implemented after the appeal was filed. The county stated the revised assessment had already been implemented as part of the official record and gave new assessed totals on the record.
Because the petitioners did not appear, the board proceeded in their absence and the assessor’s representatives entered the county’s findings. No additional testimony was taken from the petitioners at the hearing.
