Board approves consent agenda; sets schedule for tax‑levy hearing

At its Oct. 2 regular meeting the Village of Riverside Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda by roll call and set upcoming meeting dates and hearings.
Items approved on the consent agenda (roll call recorded): - Approve bill list, Oct. 2, 2025 (payment list for village bills). - Approve Village Board of Trustees regular meeting minutes, Sept. 18, 2025. - Review and file board and commission minutes: Planning and Zoning Commission (July 23, 2025) and Parks and Recreation Board (Aug. 25, 2025). - Adopt a resolution amending the Village of Riverside employee manual section 3.35 (education/training). - Adopt an ordinance amending the village code relative to liquor licenses and amending the village fee schedule. - Adopt a resolution authorizing the sale or disposal of personal property owned by the Village of Riverside.
Clerk Stenzel called the roll on the consent agenda and recorded ayes from trustees; the motion carried. The board also received an announcement from Director Savala about the State of Illinois "truth in taxation" requirement and set a public hearing for the 2025 tax levy to be held Oct. 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in Village Hall, Room 4; notice will appear in the Landmark newspaper. The board adjourned by unanimous voice vote.
