Cowlitz County commissioners approved a consent agenda and voted to adopt a series of routine procurement, grant and hearing actions and an emergency repair resolution.
Highlights presented by the chair included: - A call for a closeout public hearing on a community development block grant (CDBG) for 02/2025 scheduled for Nov. 4, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. and a second public hearing for 02/2526 CDBG applications scheduled for Nov. 4, 2025 at 9:45 a.m.; - A call for bids for the revised Allender Road bridge/replacement road project with an engineer’s estimate “about $2,800,000” and an accompanying federal grant expected to cover about $2.3 million of the estimate; - Multiple supplemental agreements extending existing contracts through December for public-works partner agencies (items 4–12 on the consent agenda); - Contract execution with Glacier Environmental Services for the headquarters landfill gas collection and control system (described at $1,490,000); - A master services agreement with a public-records-management vendor (JustFOIA) described at a contract total of $67,008.78; and - A resolution declaring an emergency and authorizing an emergency contract with Advanced Excavating Specialist LLC to repair a collapsed storm sewer on Sweet Birch Drive.
The chair moved approval of the consent agenda; commissioners voiced approval and the consent agenda passed by voice vote. The chair also noted vouchers for the week totaling $3,874,004.56 (amount stated in the meeting).
