PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — The City Council on Wednesday appointed Michael Barrett to fill a vacancy on the General Employees Pension Board.

Barrett had introduced himself during public input and told council he had applied to serve on the pension board and described administrative experience from his prior work. Council nominated and confirmed Barrett by motion.
