Festival Country’s board approved a $2,500 sponsorship to support a new holiday drone show organized by Greenwood Parks & Recreation, scheduled for Nov. 22.
Staff recommended the sponsorship as a replacement opportunity after the board’s prior fall concert sponsorship program ended. Staff noted that at the $2,500 level Festival Country could receive name rights in marketing materials and possible inclusion of the Festival Country logo in drone visuals.
A staff representative said the city would confirm sponsorship levels and the type of exposure (shared title, logo in drone displays, and video capture). Members discussed whether the drone show was tied to other holiday events or parades; staff pledged to ask the organizer to appear in person if the board wants more detail.
A motion to approve the sponsorship was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote. Board members asked staff to secure deliverables—video assets, logo placement and timing—before finalizing promotional materials.
Festival Country staff will record the sponsorship in claims and coordinate with Greenwood to obtain video and promotional assets for Festival Country use.
