The Richland County Fair Committee received an update that sponsorship receipts total roughly $9,000 to $10,000 and that the indoor vendor building is full for the upcoming fair.
The fair coordinator said they were still negotiating with the marketing manager at a returning sponsor (transcribed as "Tesnix") and planned to follow up. The vendor building will host recurring attractions including a face painter, balloon artist, a candy vendor, Cabela's and indoor music and dance programming. Outdoor vendors named in meeting remarks included Mateo, AHT Windows, and Madsby Marketing.
Second Harvest, which the committee had planned to host at the fairgrounds, notified organizers that it could not find a sponsor in time and will instead hold the event in Ithaca, the coordinator told the committee.
Committee members also discussed typical sponsor contributions such as UTVs or product demonstrations and said they would continue outreach to confirm both sponsorships and demo equipment.
No formal financial action was taken; the committee reviewed the budget summary and reported vouchers for payments to judges and entertainers had been submitted for processing.
