Court imposes deferred adjudication and restitution payment plan for Luis Alec Martinez

The defense and state agreed restitution amounts: $17,240.80 owed to Juvenal Flores and $7,300 owed to Jesus Zuazua (variously transcribed in the record); the parties acknowledged $300 payments to each complainant had already been made. After accounting for prior payments, the court and parties stated a remaining total balance of $23,940.80. The defendant agreed to an immediate payment schedule: $1,000 no later than Oct. 31 (to be split evenly between the two complainants), then $500 per month thereafter to be split equally between the complainants. The defendant said he could make the $1,000 payment on Oct. 31 and then $500 monthly.
The court imposed other conditions: regular reporting (Zoom or in-person), regular random UAs, proof of employment within 45 days, a prohibition on employment with minors or as a home health care provider, monthly field visits for three months, 100 hours of community service (deemable by completion of a money-management course), and restrictions on contact with named individuals. The court also approved a transfer of probation supervision to Tarrant County at the defendant's request and allowed travel for out-of-state work with preapproval to probation.
Judge Boyd entered a five-year deferred adjudication, clarified restitution accounting, and instructed probation to place restitution payments as priority. The defendant reviewed and signed the trial-court certification of rights and was admonished that a plea bargain and waiver of appeal limit post-conviction appeals.
