The commission approved the board’s signature on a proclamation recognizing National 4‑H Week (Oct. 5–11, 2025). The motion to approve the signature was moved, seconded and carried on a voice vote.
Extension staff delivered a multi‑part update to the commission. Highlights included the arrival of five new SPIKE robotics kits and iPads through a Wyoming 4‑H grant, planned youth activities (crochet club, pillowcase sewing workshop), a statewide clothing store opening for orders, and a series of theme days and outreach events to kick off the 4‑H year. Staff said the new robotics equipment will expand program capacity and that the office received 61 4‑H stories this year for member spotlights.
Extension staff also reviewed community‑vitality programming: Wyoming Walks events, downtown history walks, food‑preservation (canning) inquiries that have kept staff busy, and Building Better Boards training scheduled to meet Department of Audit House Bill 60 requirements on Oct. 22. Staff invited boards and community members to sign up for training and offered multiple dates for convenience.
