Robbie Coleman, vice president of Coleman Goodamode Construction, spoke at the Aug. 5 meeting to thank the commission and city staff for the Cassin Park project and to recognize partners and subcontractors who worked on the project.
Coleman said the city and its staff were "exceptional to work with," singled out city staff members who expedited inspections, and named consulting and architectural firms involved. He told commissioners the subcontractor team was among the best he had worked with and that "100% of the subcontractors on this project were based in Volusia County" and many were Ormond Beach residents. "They really made the project happen," he said.
Commissioners thanked Coleman and city staff for the ribbon-cutting event and praised the completed park as a community asset. The comment followed several other public comments supporting the proposed budget and asking for continued investment in parks, code enforcement and public safety.
