The Dearborn City Council approved a sole-source contract with Amigo and Amigo Art Studio for $88,650 to create two winter art installations for the inaugural Wonder Lights holiday event. City staff described Wonder Lights as an interactive, family-friendly walk-through combining technology and art, anchored by community events and intended to attract regional visitors.

The installations will appear in Peace Park West and are scheduled to debut Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025. Staff said the program aims to increase downtown foot traffic and provide accessible cultural programming. The resolution authorizing the sole-source contract was approved by unanimous roll call.
