Howard County commissioners approve four rezonings and six one-lot subdivisions, one vote 2-1

The Howard County Board of Commissioners approved four rezoning ordinances and six one-lot subdivisions after a briefing from the county planning commission on Oct. 2, 2025.
Planning Commission representative Greg Sheelan presented four ordinances to rezone properties from agricultural to rural residential and six one-lot subdivisions associated with those parcels. The board voted to adopt each ordinance and to accept each subdivision plan; all passed by voice vote except Promise Wedding Estate Subdivision, which passed 2 to 1.
Sheelan told the board the first rezoning, identified in the packet as ordinance 2025 BCCO-035, concerns a property at 11620 West 350 North and would change the zoning from agricultural to rural residential. The board approved the ordinance by voice vote.
The board also approved ordinance 2025 BCCO-036 for property at 124 North 750 West; ordinance 2025 BCCO-037 for property at 4233 North 600 East; and ordinance 2025 BCCO-038 for property at 2262 South 700 West. Each ordinance was moved, seconded and approved by a voice vote.
