Jason (Highway Department) described the specific projects on the letter as 14B (State Road 17 to County Line), 12B (town limits to US 30), Muck Shaw (State Road 10 to 18B) and Fifteenth Road (west of the railroad tracks to County Molly). The department also said it would seek to offset any match overruns internally where possible.
The motion to approve the financial commitment letter passed by voice vote. Commissioners asked staff to proceed with the grant application and to return with any additional details or changes required by the funding program.
No additional funding was appropriated at the meeting; the financial commitment letter documents the county’s intent to supply the local match should the State award the grant.
