Brentwood board accepts $1,296.60 USDA food‑service grant, adopts packet policies and approves safety spending

At its regular meeting, the Brentwood School Board voted to accept a $1,296.60 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the district’s food‑service program and approved several policies and funding measures included in the board packet.

Board members moved and seconded a motion to accept the USDA award; the motion passed by voice vote. Board members asked staff how the grant funds would be spent. Administrators said the award had been applied for by district food‑service staff and that the grant was intended to buy equipment or other food‑service items; staff said they would confirm and report the planned purchases at a future meeting.
