Greene County commissioners used voice votes to approve several resolutions, appointments and administrative authorizations at their regular meeting.
The board approved a declaratory resolution, listed in the meeting as resolution 2025-11, to establish a tax-increment financing (TIF) district for the proposed Prometheus Munitions Hub. The county attorney said the plan commission had already approved the measure at its prior meeting; the commissioners voted to forward the resolution back to the county redevelopment commission.
The board approved an appointment to the county's weights and measures office, appointing Don White (recorded in the agenda as "Don White" and later referred to as "Don Waits") for the remainder of the year. Commissioners also publicly thanked outgoing weights and measures official David Birch for his years of service.
Commissioners authorized a direct purchase of TimeClock Plus for the highway department and authorized the board president to negotiate and sign a final agreement. Staff said the county currently uses TimeClock Plus through Harris and that a direct arrangement is less costly.
The board approved resolution 2025-12 authorizing the highway superintendent (or acting superintendent) to execute agreements with the Indiana Department of Transportation related to Community Crossings grants and to ratify any agreements already signed under an interim superintendent.
The commissioners re-adopted the county's Title VI nondiscrimination plan with an updated date and authorized the board president to work with county counsel and the relevant group to update the county ADA plan; county counsel said the ADA update required additional work outside the meeting.
