Estacada Arts Commission outlines holiday events, festival partnerships and community workshops

The commission agreed to staff a small activity table inside City Hall and to coordinate volunteers and supplies.
On festival partnerships, commissioners praised Bev for preparing a grant application to the Clackamas County Arts Coalition for next year's Arts of the Creek. The grant application solicited letters of recommendation; commissioners discussed additional partners who might provide letters, including the library (adult-services librarian Zach), the Job Corps volunteers who helped with previous events, and other community partners.
Members also reported on smaller community programs: a creative-writing workshop that attracted new participants and youth, an Estacada Writers group using activities from the workshop, and the Bridal Gallery's Empty Bowl fundraiser for the food bank. A community group working on a grief-and-gratitude installation is planning public posting locations (restrooms at Wade Creek Park, City Hall, or the book nook were mentioned) and a related Facebook page titled "pushing daisies" to gather positive messages from residents.
Commissioners shared light updates, including local "renegade" framed-art sightings around town; members described roadside framed pieces and encouraged community appreciation of the installations.
