Planning commission backs Ammon Heights subdivision, approves variances for steeper street grades and single-side sidewalk

The Estacada Planning Commission on Nov. 20 recommended approval of Subdivision 202403-S (Ammon Heights), a 12-lot single-family subdivision on a roughly 3.2-acre site, and granted the variances staff recommended to accommodate steep topography and a modified street cross section.

Alan, planning staff, presented the staff report and recommended approval with conditions. Pat Sissel of Sissel Engineering and applicant William (Bill) Highlands answered commissioner questions and described the project: 12 single-family detached lots served by a new public street, Southeast Panics Place, with a short private spur serving five northern lots. The property is zoned R-2 (medium-density residential).
