Tom Goetz, CCP secretary, presented Citizens' Community Panel minutes for July and August to the Spokane County Behavioral Health Advisory Board, summarizing attendance, bylaw amendments, upcoming budgets and events.
"This was because in April, the CCP was not no 1 was not was notified their funding had changed," Tom read from the minutes, which also noted the CCP must submit an itemized budget for the remainder of 2025 by August and prepare the 2026 budget by November. The CCP amended its minutes to include full officer names and added a requirement that the CCP prepare next‑year budgets by November of the prior year.
The CCP reported officer elections (Brent Smith as chair, Robin Segnert as co‑chair, Tom Goetz as secretary) and planned outreach such as a CCP tabling at a local Evergreen Club event and a community Santa photo event to be held at Brent's church (an arrangement the CCP confirmed at the meeting). The CCP minutes also referenced a crisis data dashboard update: reported figures in the minutes included 345 high utilizers, 9,158 regional crisis hotline calls and 4,938 total members served (figures presented as part of a dashboard demonstration).
Administrative items presented earlier in the meeting included roll call, approval of prior advisory board meeting minutes (the advisory board moved and approved the minutes), and scheduling the next advisory board meeting: board members discussed that the November meeting falls on Thanksgiving week and agreed to meet Monday, Nov. 24 at the same time unless county staff raises a scheduling conflict.
The meeting adjourned after routine motions to approve minutes and adjourn; a motion to approve minutes was moved and seconded and the board voted to approve, and the meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn and second.
The CCP minutes note ongoing coordination with the MDU (mobile dispatch unit) and crisis partners and the continuation of CCP events and outreach in the coming months.
