Historic preservation staff told the Denison Historic Preservation Board on Oct. 7 that three sign applications had been approved administratively and that the board’s scheduled Nov. 4 meeting will be canceled because the courtroom will be in use that day. "Stan's birthday" was mentioned in passing as a scheduling note; staff also confirmed the cancellation.
Staff also reported that the city council tabled the Chapter 19 sign ordinance to its Nov. 3 meeting. Because some items governed by the preservation ordinance are linked to the sign code, staff told the board those related preservation items will be scheduled after council action on the sign ordinance. "The sign ordinance that staff had been working on for chapter 19 was tabled last night at council to the November 3 meeting," the staff member said.
Board Chair Linda Anderson confirmed the Nov. 4 meeting cancellation at the start of the meeting and closed the session at 12:22 p.m.
