Drought update: Tulare County staff reports well permit applications trending downward; commissioners received new map

Tulare County staff provided the commission with a drought update on Oct. 31, reporting that well permit applications are trending downward from previous years and that commissioners’ request for a map was fulfilled.

At the start of the item, the commission chair invited Denise to provide the update. Denise said the permit update is “also trending downward from the previous years” and that staff had provided the map commissioners requested. She added commissioners could see there was “not really much of a pattern on the well permit applications.”
