City to centralize commission posts on City of Estacada page; county art programs and local events noted

Staff named Hannah Strobel as the new city communications hire who will handle social media posting for commissions; commission members were advised to email content to the new municipal communications contact rather than posting directly.
Clackamas County arts staff (Arielle) told the commission the county’s Artist Exhibit Program call is open through Sept. 30 and is free to apply for artists who live or work in Clackamas County, with exhibitions hosted at libraries, health clinics and other public buildings (the nearest location to Estacada listed was Sandy Public Library). County staff also flagged an upcoming grant-writing basics workshop and the next Cultural Coalition grant round opening in September and offered to supply shareable social graphics for promotion.
Local event and outreach logistics: Commission members reported an envelope of summer passport raffle entries collected at the library (about a dozen entries), discussed calling raffle winners and leaving prizes at City Hall for pickup, and asked for volunteers to manage prize calls. Commissioners discussed a community barbecue / volunteer recognition event this Saturday and an all-day Oktoberfest event on the last Saturday of the month (11 a.m.–7 p.m.). Staff and volunteers coordinated canopy, table and supply pickup from public works and discussed staffing the commission’s table at community events.
