DDA memorandum of understanding: Council adopted a memorandum of understanding and cooperative services agreement with the Downtown Development Authority for service cost sharing for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Staff said the MOU continues a flat 5% reimbursement for specified administrative services, maintains funding for a heavy‑equipment operator position, and adds a checklist and reporting cadence for maintenance items within the DDA district.
Water/sewer procurement: Council awarded a three‑year contract using the Oakland County procurement contract (011485) to D'Angelo Brothers of Farmington Hills for water taps, water and sewer system repairs, valve repairs and main installation.
HVAC maintenance: Council accepted a three‑year proposal from B and C 10 Air HVAC Systems Inc. of Milford for HVAC maintenance, inspection and repair services at a quarterly cost of $3,208 with the option of a 3% increase for two additional years; staff said routine quarterly inspections and filter replacement are included but replacement UV bulbs and major unit replacements are not.
Consent‑agenda addition: Earlier in the meeting staff noted the addition of a consent item to approve a first amendment to a purchase and sale agreement involving properties on Chanticleer (1591 and 1599 Chanticleer), assigning the purchase to Pine Coves Chanticleer LLC and authorizing the mayor to sign the agreements. That consent motion passed with the rest of the consent agenda.
