UCPS honors student and staff, discloses $5,955.92 rebrand cost and posts district updates

Adrian Porter, principal of Forest Hills High School, read a nomination for a mentor known as Mr. Clyburn; Renee Cunningham, a media coordinator at Newtown Elementary, read a nomination for Jeremy Evans, praising his responsiveness supporting district technology accounts.
Rebrand cost and public questions: A parent speaker asked the board about how much the county rebranding cost and whether that spending was appropriate given teacher pay concerns. A district communications staff member answered, "We have only spent $5,955.92. We did not hire a firm outside our team who did all of this work," and said the district used internal designers to keep costs low.
