Anderson City’s board on Sept. 30, 2025, approved routine minutes, took four bids for curb and sidewalk reconstruction under advisement and approved claims totaling $7,081,231.71.
The board first approved the minutes as submitted. Later, engineering staff presented four bids for curb and sidewalk reconstruction covering multiple streets: Brown Street from Meadowbrook Parkway South Drive to 30 Seventh Street; Andover Road from Meadowbrook Parkway South Drive to 30 Seventh Street; and Meadowbrook Parkway South Drive to Ringwood Way. Bidders and the amounts disclosed in the bid packets were: Concrete Specialties, $208,126 (bid bond and proper form included); Edward and Jones Concrete Inc., $225,815; DC Construction Services, $289,675; and Morphy Construction, $394,394. The motion was to take the four bids under advisement; the motion was made and seconded and carried with members saying "aye." Staff referenced Miss Lilly and City Attorney Podesy in presenting the item.
On claims, the board approved the following totals as part of the claims docket: Civil City, $3,434,250.98; Light & Power, $1,702,655.95; Water Department, $1,212,239.98; Water Pollution, $616,440.75; Stormwater, $105,644.05; total $7,081,231.71. A motion to approve the claims was moved and seconded and carried with members saying "aye." No roll-call vote was recorded in the transcript.
The board then adjourned. Each of these routine items carried with all members saying "aye" in the meeting record; no opposing votes were recorded in the transcript.
