Care2Share promotes Fort Fest weekend events at Fort Scott City meeting

Bridal said the schedule includes a new bike show Saturday noon–2:30 p.m., a new Sunday car show (registration about 11:30 a.m., prizes through 3 p.m.) and a Sunday gospel celebration organized by Carolyn Tucker. He also said organizers restored a kids’ fall festival and a pumpkin patch, and that flyers were distributed to more than 1,700 children in both Uniontown and Fort Scott.
“Get your jackets out, get your fun hats on,” Bridal told the commission, and encouraged residents to attend and to showcase motorcycles, cars and participate in the family events.
Bridal thanked the commission for time to announce the events and noted continuing efforts to expand Fort Fest into a three-day weekend.
No commission action was required or taken on the announcement during the meeting.
