The Olathe Planning Commission on the evening it met acknowledged the recent death of Assistant City Attorney Rochelle Breckenridge and extended condolences to her family.

A planning commission staff member told the commission that Breckenridge "worked with the city for over 11 years, many of those with the planning commission. She led trainings and provided support during meetings. ... She will be greatly missed, treasured leader in our organization, and a great professional." Commissioners and staff expressed sympathy for her family before adjourning the meeting.

The commission offered condolences on behalf of its membership but did not provide additional details about funeral arrangements or other related matters during the meeting.
