The Olathe Planning Commission elected Commissioner Creighton as a temporary chair for the evening, approved a minor plat for Merlin Commercial Park Sixth plat to reestablish lot lines that will enable the sale of a parcel to Kwik Trip, and voted to continue a rezoning request for the Lone Elm townhomes to a future Planning Commission meeting.
The actions took place during a regular Planning Commission meeting at which the commission recorded a quorum of six of nine members. Chairperson Janner, Vice Chairperson Breen and Commissioner Taronis were absent, prompting the temporary-chair election.
The temporary-chair motion was moved by Commissioner Altensworth; the motion passed 6-0. The election allowed the commission to proceed with its agenda despite the absences.
On the consent agenda, commissioners moved to approve all items except item B (as pulled for discussion). That motion, moved by Commissioner Chapman and seconded by Commissioner Brigitte, passed 6-0.
