Estacada city staff announced a public groundbreaking ceremony for the city—s new wastewater treatment plant.
The city manager said the ceremony will be held at the construction site, 805 Northwest Evergreen Way (near Timberpark), and will include brief remarks from city officials and project partners, followed by light refreshments. The manager said the event is scheduled for Aug. 11 at 5 p.m., just before the next council meeting, and that printed flyers are being distributed.
The manager also noted staff and council participation in county planning meetings and described the city—s role in regional rural housing planning and transportation discussions, but the principal public announcement at the meeting was the wastewater plant groundbreaking.
