Council updates small-works procurement code to match state RCW

The Lynnwood City Council on Oct. 13 adopted Ordinance 3490, amending Lynnwood Municipal Code 2.92.0.07 (procurement of small works roster for public works projects) to align the city's code with a revised Washington State RCW reference and to remove outdated language.

Finance Director Michelle Meyer told the council the amendment was limited to conforming the city code to a change in the RCW number and to modernize some wording; the change does not alter substantive procurement practice.

Councilmember Lutweiler moved adoption of Ordinance 3490; the motion was seconded and the ordinance was adopted by roll-call vote with six yes votes and zero no votes.

The ordinance provides for severability, establishes an effective date and directs summary publication consistent with standard municipal ordinance procedure.
