At a reorganization meeting of the Cinnaminson Township School District Board of Education, four candidates elected in the Nov. 5, 2024 school board election were sworn in and the board elected its president and vice president.
The board administration read the official election results from Nov. 5, 2024: Donna Marie Iacon (three-year term) with 4,635 votes; Jennifer Falconerio (three-year term) with 3,757 votes; Laura Fitzwater (three-year term) with 4,410 votes; and Eileen Bleistein (one-year unexpired term) with 3,917 votes. Following that announcement, those four — Iacon, Falconerio, Fitzwater and Bleistein — were called forward and administered the oath of office.
The board then opened nominations for president. Laura Fitzwater and Michael Bramhall were nominated. The board closed nominations and held a roll-call vote. The roll call for the Fitzwater nomination produced five yes votes and four no votes; Fitzwater was declared board president by a 5–4 vote.
Roll-call votes recorded during the Fitzwater nomination were: Yes — Michael Bramhall, Laura Fitzwater, Ed Kenny, Mr. Meeker, and Ms. Trompe; No — Eileen Bleistein, Catherine Bleistein, Jennifer Falconerio and Donna Marie Iacon.
After a brief recess to “turn the meeting over,” the board opened nominations for vice president. Ed Kenny and Eileen Bleistein were nominated. A roll-call vote approved Ed Kenny as vice president by a 5–4 vote. The rolls for the Kenny nomination recorded: Yes — Michael Bramhall, Laura Fitzwater, Ed Kenny, Mr. Meeker and Ms. Trompe; No — Eileen Bleistein, Catherine Bleistein, Jennifer Falconerio and Donna Marie Iacon.
No formal discussion minutes or substantive debate about policy accompanied the leadership elections; the board followed its nomination, second and roll-call procedures described on the agenda and in board bylaws.
The meeting moved on after the leadership votes to the organization agenda and personnel items.
